From discussions between some shamen fans, it has been questioned as to whether
BEATMASTERS 12" and NÜW IDOL REMIX are reversed (beatmasters 12" is actually nüw idol remix,
and nüw idol remix is actually beatmasters 12"). In addition, there seems to be some concerns as to
the DEEP DISH mixes and perhaps EJ SPOOK mixes, as well. Basically, it seems the mix names are fucked up!
From E.Gill: To my knowledge, the EJ Spook mixes are the Beatmasters mixes; track times are identical, and
EJ Spook is a known alias. And on the 2nd CD single, the final track is definitely the Beatmasters 12"; sounds
just like the 7" and the Dub. Going by the sound of the mixes, track 4 is the Nüw Idol mix (like a
re-edit of the Deep Dish sound), 5 is Deep Dish Dub, and 6 is Visnadi (similar sounding Euro beat to the
Alex Party Mix).
It seems the LTJ Bukem Mix that clocks in at 5:20 on the above releases are just an edit. On the compilation
released by React Records, UK - Artcore 2: the Art
of Drum & Bass, this mix clocks in at 6:56.
