CANADIAN HISTORY
OF BELIEFS AND VALUES

Our actions are governed by our cultural set of Principles, Beliefs and Values.
To understand our heritage we must know the cultures that were imported into Canada.
To understand our heritage we must know the cultures that were created in Canada.
Cultures are not static but principles normally are.

Canada is the second largest country in the world, 2nd to Russia.
It occupies 7 percentage of the earth's land mass.  (9,970,610 sq. km.)

CANADIAN CULTURES WERE DOMINATED BY A ROMAN-CHRISTIAN TRADITION

THE EXCEPTION WERE THE METIS AND CANADIAN INDIAN CULTURES

SOCIAL ENGINEERING WAS EMPLOYED IN THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

Culture is our way of living our life.
Culture is our way of viewing things.
Culture is our way of communicating.

SOCIAL ENGINEERING is an attempt by Government, or private groups to change or engineer the views and behavior of citizens.  In short; it is the art and science of manipulating people.

The rules of social engineering are:

Social engineering is best employed by positions of authority, like teachers, politicians or judges.

Social engineering is a matter of presentation of philosophy.  A need to avoid things that can be proven or disproved.

Social engineering is swaying large groups of people by emotional demagoguery.

Social engineering is an intuitive sense of personality to know when to use emotions like fear or anger, behavior from assertiveness or complete insecurity.

Social engineering is knowing when to flirt vs. ignore.

Adolf Hitler (1889-1945) the Fuhrer of the Third Reich, marched the German peoples, into great crimes against humanity, by using social engineering, to alter the people principles, beliefs and values.  Most German people believed and embraced the politically correct views tabled by the Third Reich.

As a young man I couldn't understand how millions of Germans including their judges, teachers and religious  could march to the drum of the Third Reich.  Having lived through the Liberal 'CULTURE OF ENTITLEMENT' I now know.

PRINCIPLES, BELIEFS and VALUES
govern our understanding of facts and truth.
They are like a pair of colored glasses that we use to observe the reality of our world

Culture is driven by our principles, beliefs and values that determine our perceptions, attitudes, expectations, language, interactions and patterns of our existence.
Beliefs are basic 'assumptions' of right and wrong.
Beliefs and values shape and mold a culture more than any other factor.
They however should not be accepted as true without definitive proof.
Values on the other hand are important viewpoints or references for ways of doing things.

The absence of European beliefs and values in the Peoples culture
is seen as evidence of the inferiority of the people of America.

Europeans believed in annihilation or assimilation
they have little room for accommodation.

The Europeans after centuries of war believed that might is right
military superiority has the right to destroy other cultures.

THE HISTORY OF MARRIAGE IN CANADA  (added May 2012)

Marriage appears to be the building blocks of Canadian culture from our very beginning.
When I say Canadian culture it includes pre-European involvement to modern times, and for Canada as a territory.  We are a part of our collective history from all parts of the world.
Aboriginal peoples believed that marriage was between one man and one woman before the community to the exclusion of all others, for life.    I have not found the inclusion of the Great Spirit (God) in the marriage process but that doesn’t say it didn’t exist.
The interesting thing is most ancient marriages throughout the world were of this type of community or family type of marriages.
‘Heterosexual Marriages’ was the norm among aboriginal peoples.

The introduction of the French into Canada they believed in the ‘Fundamental Principle’ that marriage was between one man and one woman and God to the exclusion of all others, for life.  Who officiated at a marriage ceremony was a power struggle between civil authority and religious authority from about 1215 into the 20 century.  Therefore;
‘Heterosexual Marriages’ was the norm among French Canadians.

‘Country Marriages’ sprung up because of a lack of religious or civil authority, especially in Indian Territory.  These marriages did not violate the ‘Fundamental Principle’; Only the power struggle remained but was eventually resolved in the courts of the land that affirmed ‘Country Marriages’ were as valid as ‘Religious Marriages’ or ‘Civil Marriages’.  Most ‘Country Marriage’ became what they call ‘Getting Churched’ at the first opportunity because some religious fanatics refused to baptized the children unless the parents were married by a priest.  Some even refused marriages of French to those they called savages.

‘Panis (slave) Marriages’ were another early form of marriage practiced by the French usually between Indian Girl slaves and Frenchmen.  They were however ‘Heterosexual Marriages’ but with a difference, some were ‘Child Marriage’ some were not consensual.  Not being consensual is an invalid marriage to some.  Some so called 'normal marriages' were as young as 12 years old.  Most however were for life unless the girls were abused then they returned home to their family.  The Panis Girls seem to accept this arrangement but one said she would only be with one man and I presumed she rejected the marriage of convince.

Then along came the Hudson Bay Company and a new form of marriage was introduced into Canada;
‘Marriage of Convince’ became the norm among these people and their aboriginal families.  When a HBC man transferred to another post or returned to England or Scotland he abandoned his family.  He was responsible to find her another marriage partner or pay for his abandoned family’s expenses.  Some will argue this was Company policy and they had no choice but to abandon family or desert to the NWC or other French companies.  However the English or Scottish employed with the NWC followed the HBC’s  ‘Marriage of Convince’ policy where as the French employees did not.  For the first time the Community, Civil Authority nor Church Authority was involved in the marriage and defiantly not God.  This type of marriage was back door legalized through the Income Tax Act and some jurisdictions included legislation since 1990's under the name Common Law Marriages but it varies by Provinces.

‘Bigamous Marriage’
was the next on the Canadian scene not only as a result of HBC policy but because of wars, or sickness.  The shortage of men especially among the Aboriginal peoples resulted in Bigamous relationships but I haven’t come across ingrained sexual relationships except among the English or Scottish folks.

‘Homosexual Marriages’ was the next on the Canadian scene starting in 2003 and concluding in June 20, 2005 with the Liberal Government ‘Civil Marriage Act’.  Canada was only the 4th country to do so in the world.  Those involved prefer to be called ‘Gay Marriages’ or ‘Same Sex Marriages’.

‘Marriage of Convince’ or Common Law Marriage has yet to be standardized in Canada.
‘Bigamous Marriage’
has yet to be legalized in Canada for Muslims or Mormons.
‘Child Marriage’ has yet to be legalized in Canada for Asian immigrants.

What are the implications of these various forms of marriages on ‘Heterosexual Marriages’ on the ‘Fundamental Principle’ of marriage but more important on our families and “Canadian Culture”?
Less that 50% of people enter into marriage in any form; it no longer has a special meaning.
More than 50% of marriages and unions end in divorce, separation or disillusionment; roles and responsibilities are lost in the mist of time.
Second, third, fourth or other wives have no rights in law.
Child marriages are tolerated because we don’t want to know.
More families are without children (42.7%) than with children (41.4%)
We kill 100,000 fetuses per year, because fetuses have no human rights and we have lost the reverence for life
So called Common law families make up 15.5% of families to number 1.4 million families.
Twenty-six per cent of families with children are headed by a single parent.
Of the 1.4 million single-parent families, about 20 per cent are headed by men. The number of men at the head of single-parent families is growing more than twice as fast as the number of women.  Single parent families struggle with poverty.
The rate of serious crime by females has tripled since 1986 to 2000; it is attributed to changing debated social factors, in short, cultural changes.
50% of all the same-sex couples live in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
Marriage is no longer the building blocks of Canadian culture.
Marriage of Convince’ has become the new norm in Canada.

HISTORY OF REAL WOMEN

Motherhood has been classified as the most important job in the world.  Woman’s Liberation has destroyed centuries of Real Womanhood.
Many countries of the world are in a negative population growth due to a lack of births.  The last Japanese to be born is estimated as 3011 A.D.  Europe and North America is not far behind.
Just what was the ideal woman before Woman’s Liberation?
Natural motherhood was natural birth, natural breastfeeding, on demand, for four years or as long as the child wanted it, and co-sleeping, until the child was secure.  The baby was the master in the home and both parents liked it that way.  The norm was cloth diapers and making your own baby food.  Mothers did not enjoy going back to work, if necessity drove them back to work.  She appreciated that she had reached her full potential creating a loving home environment.
The expression of the time was men made the living and women made the life worth living.
Woman today fail to provide adequate childcare especially during the critical brain development period for intellectual potential.  Preschool and daycare has been farmed out to the state and studies suggest this limits intellectual potential.
No longer is it a primary objective of keeping children healthy, respectful, instilling good habits, work ethic and self-discipline.
Women trying to achieve their full ‘working’ potential under Woman’s Liberation feel guilty, stressed and exhausted trying to achieve the Woman’s Liberation ideals of equality.
Marriage is in decline, and divorce is increasing.
The number of men at the head of single-parent families is growing more than twice as fast as the number of women.
Women abort 100,000 babies each year.
Real women are a dying breed.
