Ch. Adonis' Be Causing A Commotion "Chaos" Remembered by those who watched her ringside, as her name says, for the commotion she would cause and the laughter she brought to judges, competitors and spectators alike with her extreme happiness and fun loving, outgoing nature. It was a pleasure to show this girl for the hugs and kisses at the end of a good (or bad :-) ) showing. It was great to hear comments from judges such as "now this girl loves being here doesn't she??" "It is so nice to see that she is having fun, like it is supposed to be. " This girl has a zest for life that has no comparison. Thanks Chaos for all of the GREAT times!!! (Ch. Can & UKC Ch. Adonis' Brink Of Perfection Knoor CGN "Brinkley" Multi BOB winner, Group 4. Multi BOB winner and a Reserve Best in Show (UKC) "Brinkley" is our cropped beauty Brinkley received her Ch. with a 5 point win at the St. Andrews Kennel and Obedience Club show in Manitoba on July 21/02. On the weekend of Sept 13,2002, with 5 BOB (undefeated) and a Reserve Best in Show, Brinkley attained her UKC Championship. Brinkley came out to play at the 2005 Regional Specialty for the GDCCWD and in the footsteps of her mother won the title of Best Brood Bitch, with the help of her kids Bishop, Emma, Meena and Evy. Almost 1 year later at the 2006 GDCC National Specialty... Brinkley again takes the title of Best Brood Bitch... at 6 1/2 years old she is looking great and keeping up with her kids... Bishop, Emma and Meena.. my daughter Becky was the proud handler of Brinkley for this win as well as her BOS Altered win against her younger 1/2 brother, at the same show. Brinkley has blessed us in so many ways... just her mere existence brings more joy to us than can be put in words, but then to have given us a BPIG winner an AOM winner and now a BISS winner is more that we could have ever asked for !!! Thanks so much "Stinky". (click here for Brinkley's Pedigree) (Ch. Blackbrydges MidKnight Aurora TT CD x Kohinoor's Hallucination) DOB May 26,2000 (Black) KJ668944
Ch. Adonis' Creating An Uproar "Havoc" CGN CGC TDI STUD Havoc finished his Championship at 15 months of age. Once we finished Havoc, we let him take a break and just hang for a while. On his first big day out as a specials he takes BOB over group placing competition. At 3 1/2 Havoc is turning into our "Big Man" pictured above taking another Best of Breed at the Battle River Canine Association in Camrose March 2005. Havoc accompanied me to the 2005 Great Dane Club of America National Specialty in Arizona. What and incredible feeling to handle a dog that you have bred, co-own and love dearly in the Bred by Exhibitor class and an even bigger sense of pride when that boy makes the cut (and is placed 5th) amongst some of the nicest Danes in the country.... what an incredible end to the show career of my Big Man. It will be very difficult to fill the footprints left in the ring, and in my heart, by my "chahavoc bob". Havoc now gets to sit at home on the couch with his sister Kaya and his little brother Ben and tell stories of the "good-ol-days". Havoc decided that he might just want to get off of that couch for a while and come and play at the 2006 GDCC National Specialty... he teamed up with his litter brother Jobe and won Best Brace over 5 other braces !! The boys were, in the exact words of esteemed judge Lester Mapes, " the nicest brace he has seen in all of his years of judging on many continents"... what an incredible and humbling compliment to us here!! WOW !!!! way to go boys !!!! Havoc now gets to return to the couch... when he will emerge to play again... only time will tell :-) Well emerge again he did... one again Havoc and his brother Jobe teamed up for the Brace competition at the GDCCWD Regional Specialty in Aug... and came away with another BEST BRACE title !!! On July 28/03 @ the Westerly Dog Show Belle was awarded BOB and her first Group 3. May 28/04 "Belle" takes another Group 4 placement., on a very rainy and wet show weekend. What a trooper !!! Belle also accompanied me to the GDCA National Specialty in Arizona. In true Adonis style Belle showed wonderfully and compliments on her were many. Belle is now going to retire from the show ring and enjoy a laid back life with her family. Thank you Belle for always being the extremely regal dog that you are and for the chance to own and show such a beautiful and poised girl. (Ch. Blackbrydge's MidKnight Aurora x Ch. BPIG Ch. Adonis' Electric Blue "Bishop" CGC TDI STUD In Bishop's first show out (April30th/2004), at almost 9 months of age, he and his dad have done us very PROUD !!! Bishop is our first puppy to get the honor of BEST PUPPY IN GROUP. The weekend was a fabulous one for Bishop and Kevin, taking Best of Breed over Specials from the classes all 3 days and coming home with 9 points !!! What an electric start to a GREAT career. In Bishop's next weekend out, (May 28th) he, at the tender age of 9 months, has attained his Canadian Championship. Once again taking Breed over Specials. The future of this handsome boy (and his dad) will be something to be seen. In Bishops first weekend out as a Special, on March 4/05, he has proudly brought to our a kennel another Group placement (Group 4). This makes Bishop Multi Best of Breed, Group placing BPIG Ch. Adonis' Electric Blue. A trip with gramma to Arizona for the GDCA National Specialty brought about much talk about our blues... Effortlessly Bishop showed himself to a 1st place finish in his class and a very good look in the winners circle at the regional and a 2nd place class finish at the National ... a little more time to mature and wow... what else can I say. Compliments on Bishop flowed freely and as icing on the cake he also picked up his CGC and TDI designations. On the long weekend in August 2006 at the AKC show on monday...Bishop took a very nice BOB win (over 20+ danes)... a great win, for a "great" dane..... I look forward to Bishop's future and being there for the ride :-) (UKC & Can Ch. Adonis BrinkOfPerfection Knoor x Ch. Bluestones Invincible) DOB Aug 02, 2003 (Blue) NQ892112 Bishop has been hanging out at home with his mom and dad for a while, but comes out to play when he can. Bishop took the Stud dog class with 5 of his get at the GDCCWD Regional Specialty in Aug 2007... he has also been seen at the shows in Saskatchewan, if you look closely at his pictures.. you will see that he has been shown by the same Junior handler, just 2 years apart... look at how nicely both of them have grown up !! :-)
Ch. Adonis' Evolution Of Blue "Zach" Zach made his ring debut on July 10/04 and in Adonis fashion, picked up 5 points his first weekend out., he then proceed the next weekend out to pick up 4 points and then finished (1 day before his 1st birthday) with a 4 point win at the GDCC Western Division Booster, and a total of 6 points that weekend. A substantial dog with great conformation, temperament and personality. Zack has now returned to his parents, (who say he is never allowed to leave home again :-) to start his Obedience Career. Thank you so much to Brad and Diane for letting us keep this magnificent boy in our breeding program. (UKC & Can Ch. Adonis BrinkOfPerfection Knoor x Ch. Bluestones Invincible) DOB Aug 02, 2003 (Blue) NQ892116
Ch. Adonis' Etched In Stone "Meena" CD AOM CGN Meena is a beautiful example of what ADONIS strives to produce. She is conformationally very beautiful and has the most wonderful temperament and personality. On Nov 6/04 Meena and her mom did all of us here at Adonis very proud in becoming Adonis' 14th Champion, In a whirlwind of Points (3 BW in one weekend for 7 points) Meena finished with Erin on the lead. Meena and Erin are now going to concentrate on Meena's obedience. Watch for them in the obedience ring soon. Meena and Erin decided that they would come back out to the Conformation ring before competing for her CD and in one weekend picked up 5 Best of Breeds !!! Thanks you to the judges who saw what we know is there in Meena. Way to go Erin and Meena :-) (more show pictures) for more pictures of Meena take a peek at her website. Watching this girl stride towards yet another title is a thrill for her Gramma. At the GDCC Regional Specialty, Meena once again proved just how versatile she is, coming away with an Award of Merit, beating out many Group winners and also in the same day getting another leg towards her CD. To finish a great year of showing, Meena and Erin picked up Meena's last leg of her CD in October... I look forward to seeing how many more titles they can get on either side of her name <g> We are all VERY proud of both of you !! (UKC & Can Ch. Adonis BrinkOfPerfection Knoor x Ch. Bluestones Invincible) DOB Aug 02, 2003 (Blue) NQ892126
BISS Ch. Adonis' Emerging Perfection "Emma" CD HIT CGN CGC TDI Emma made her debut June 18/04, in her very first show, picked up a Winners Bitch for 2 points.. At the Working Herding Specialty Dog show Oct 9/04 Emma took BW for 3 more points. Emma was shown on September 16 and once again picked up 2 more points... On Nov 26/04 Emma became our 15th Homebred Champion and won her first BOB. Emma is a phenomenal example of Conformation, Temperament and Breed Type. Emma took a break from the conformation ring to have a chance to mature and be a puppy.. she has matured physically... but is still such a child at heart. I took Emma to the GDCA National in Arizona to not only compete in Conformation but also Obedience as well as take her tests for her CGC and TDI.. she did not disappoint....she took 1st in her class at the regional and 3rd in her class at the National, but what makes me even more proud is the compliments that we received from long time breeders, spectators and professional handlers. We did not do as well as we had wanted in Obedience, but, due to a scheduling conflict at the Regional between conformation and obedience I had to send Emma to the obedience ring with the only other person that I would trust to show my "yemma" in obedience and much to the credit of Erin, who had NEVER even worked with Emma in obedience, they did very well.. you see Emma loves her auntie Erin and to be apart from her even though it is only across the ring for a 1 minute sit and 3 minute down was more that she could bear, so Emma though it to be much better to get up and go see that Auntie Erin was OK... gotta love that big ol' heart of hers:-) She did, although, do very well in her CGC and TDI test and passed all of the requirements for both. Emma has been taking a break from the conformation ring to work on her obedience over the last little while and on July 15 & 16, 2006 Emma picked up the first and second legs of her CD title with scores of 188.5 and 187. Her next show out.. Emma puts another title behind her name... with a score of 183 Emma has achieved her CD. On to the next task... the Great Dane club of Canada National Specialty... though Emma has not been in a conformation ring for 11 months, we decided to put her in Specials anyways... we were very luck that one of our "new additions" to the family was willing to get in the ring with Emma, even though he himself has never been in a show ring or even a conformation class.... Philipe is a great sport !!!! and not only is he a great sport, he can now say that he has shown a dog to BOB at a National Specialty !!! Yes.. Emma and Phil did it.... To our knowledge Emma is the first Natural Eared, Blue bitch in the history of the GDCC to win BEST of BREED. And though that was more than I could have ever dreamed of.. the next morning she outdid herself and was HIT at the GDCC National Specialty obedience trial.... I am not sure how she can top this one... but I am sure she will try :-) Emma comes back into the obedience ring Aug 07 (after taking a year off) at the GDCC Regional Specialty and came away with a High In Classes award and a score of 195 !!! Next year we are going for an Open title... if only she will pick up the dumbell... (and no that is not her mom <g>) ....(UKC & Can Ch. Adonis BrinkOfPerfection Knoor x Ch. Bluestones Invincible) DOB Aug 02, 2003 (Blue) NQ892110
Ch. Adonis Dot Com "Neidah" On June 5/05 "Beads" became our 16th Homebred Champion. Neidah finished her Ch. with 3 WB at the NACA show in Edmonton. Ch. Adonis' To Kalon CGN "Russell" Russell made his show debut in grand style at the Battle River Canine Association Dog show the weekend of March 25. In his first weekend out, Russell was RWD on Friday and then WD on Sunday for 2 points and RWD and Puppy in Breed on Monday. He showed so well and is off to a great start to his Championship. A great big thank-you and congratulations to his mom and dad, Brett and John, for doing such a great job training and raising our little "Russer". The second picture above shows just how to embarrass the pants off your gramma :-) Russell is continuing on his winning ways, in his last weekend out (June 3/4/5) Russer was again WD/BW/BP for 2 points on Friday and RWD for Sat and Sun. Russell prefers to do things his own way... no sense finishing quickly as that would only diminish the time spent having fun in the ring... so another point at the show in October puts us at 8 ... Well, what can we say about our 17th Homebred Champion.... crazy Russer's finished in Grand style November 25/05 taking a BOS/BW for 3 points....he continued his winning ways through the rest of the weekend taking another 2 BOS. Way to go Russell and thank you for all of the fun we had in the ring. (Ch. Adonis Dot Com x Ch. Adonis' Adorable Buddy) DOB July 06, 2004 (Black) PN955545
Ch. Adonis' Gee I'm Lovin' It "Mac" A very big guy with tones of angulation and size and such a soft heart... Mac's very first showing in October he went BW for his first 2 points.. then a couple of weekends later he once again went BW for 2 more points. In Calgary Mac picked up 3 more points with a BW on Nov 27/05... and the finishing touches are a 1 point WD on Feb04/06 and a 3 point BW on Feb 05/06.. way to go MAC !!!!!. . (Ch. Adonis Dot Com x Ch. Adonis' Adorable Buddy) DOB July 06, 2004 (Black) PN955542
Ch. Adonis' Hopes N Dreams "Sofie" ....making her debut Feb 3/06...Sofie is what hopes and dreams are made of....what a weekend for SOFIE !!!!! at just 9 1/2 months Sofie goes .... Friday BOS/BW/ BP for 3 points.... Saturday BW/BP for 3 points and Sunday BOS/WB/BP for yet another 3 points ... she certainly has proven to fulfill all of our wildest hopes and dreams... this will be some ride... in only her 5th show Sofie becomes our 19th Homebred Champion... taking BOS and WB for 2 points at the Camrose show in March 06. Sofie has never taken less than a RWB and I look forward to letting her mature and showing her as a Special. (Ch. Adonis Divine Intervention x Kohinoor's Lexus Harley) DOB April 21, 2005 (Blue) RG032513
Ch. Adonis' Git-R-Done "Isa" Isa made her debut the long weekend in Aug and in true style was a hit.. she is a sweet and gentle girl with great conformation and personality. Isa figured if her brothers can win 2 points so can she.. picking up a BW at NACA starts her Championship point journey ... a short journey if the past predicts the future....another great Sunday for Isa and her daddy.. taking BOS/BW for another 2 points in Camrose March 06, puts her at 4.......and the dynamic duo does it.... June 2/06 Isa and Kevyn take a well deserved 3 point BW and on June 3/06 Isa becomes our 20th Homebred Champion with another 3 point BW. We could not be more proud of our little "Anna banana" and Kev !!! Way to go guys !!!! (Ch. Adonis Dot Com x Ch. Adonis' Adorable Buddy) DOB July 06, 2004 (Black) PN973293
Ch. Adonis' Goliath "Tonka" STUD On August 7, 2006 Tonka is our 21st Homebred Champion !!! Taking his final class win with a 4 point BW, a spectacular win for a spectacular dog. His humble beginnings.....he made his debut at the AKC show at Shouldice Park on the August long weekend 2005.... He was a very well behaved man who showed very well. Tonka came home with a Reserve Winners Dog and the start to many great weekends. A special thanks to Tonka's mom and dad, who, even though they knew nothing about dog showing, were willing to let Gramma and Tonka give it a shot.... (just between you and me.... I know their hooked.... ) Well our big lug (and Erin) have done it... with a WD on March 12, Tonka has 1 point and has officially started his journey to his Ch. Gramma and Tonka were finally able to get back on the show road, after Tonka recovered from a bout of pneumonia... and in his first weekend back, Tonka goes WD for 1 point, then the next day WD for 2 points and on the 4th day BW for 2 points. On July 15/06 our "Truck" takes an impressive BW/WM for 3 points......He just keeps getting better with age... and I look forward to many wins with Tonka in the Specials ring :-) .... (Ch. Adonis Dot Com x Ch. Adonis' Adorable Buddy) DOB July 06, 2004 (Black) PN955538 Tonka continues to wow the crowds with Adrien - a junior handler... taking many 1st in classes and Best overall's they are quite the team... watch for them out at the shows in Alberta.. and in the Specials ring too :-)
Ch. Adonis' Frosty Pint "Guinness" In her first weekend out, our little frosty pint (who is not so little) gave the crowd and judges several good laughs and once again reminded me just how fun showing is. Following in her mothers footsteps, she bounced happily around the ring and couldn't keep her bum still cause her tail was wagging so hard. She has already made several friends and loyal followers due to her enthusiasm and looks. She also picked up a RWB.. a great start for this happy, happy girl. A little time passes and low and behold our little thirst quencher picks up her first point in October. At the March 12/06 show, with Erin filling in for Gramma...Guiness goes BOW for 2 more points...and again with Auntie Erin's assistance at the NKC show in May, Guinness takes 2 single point WB wins for a total of 5 points ..... a couple weekends later and another 1 point WB puts Nessie on 6 points. Even though mornings are for sleeping in according to Guinness, she showed her heart out on July 16/06 to a BOS/WB for 3 points....On October 7/06 Guinness went WB for 2 points and with the help of her Auntie Tara in the breed ring she was also BOW .... making Guinness our 22nd Homebred Champion....... We are very proud of our Nessie and a very special thanks to Sharon and Connor for hanging in there with us :-) (Ch. Adonis Be Causing A Commotion x UKC Ch. Adonis' Chances Are) DOB Dec08,2003 (Black) NY932508

A little more ring experience and that happy boy is sure to be a Champion...In Bismark's next show appearance on Oct 7/06 he went WD for 1 point...... With incredible size, structure and heart... Bizmark, in his next show out and on Dec 3/06 attains his Canadian Championship with a 7 point weekend (Friday WD - 2 pt / Sat WD - 2 pt / Sun BW - 3pt). Bismark now gets to sit back.. relax... continue to mature......and watch his newest additions to the Adonis family go from adorable puppies to wonderful family members & Show dogs. Ch. Adonis' Heart Throb "Ben" STUD And now.. in the red corner... weighing in at a muscular 160 lbs... standing 36+ inches at the shoulder is the newest Adonis Champion... "Chimini ( you can hear the roar of the crowd and high pitched screams from the girls )...... Finishing with 2 BOW at the Camrose show March 24&25/07 ......Ben becomes our 23 Homebred Champion !!!! His journey to his Ch... At the tender age of 7 months, Ben made his debut at the CKOC show in November and what a show he had. Ben went Best Puppy in Breed all 3 days and picked up 3 points with a BW on Nov 26/05. This "little guy" who stands 34" at the shoulder and weighs in at a hefty 150 lbs just might be able to fill the footprints of his "big brother" Havoc. Continuing in his winning ways....Ben goes WD Feb 03/06 for another point. After a short break so his mommy and daddy could have a vacation and visit family, Ben is back in the ring... on April 22/06 he takes WD for another point... and tonnes of compliments......The rest are sure to follow quickly !!!! We are going to let Ben have a break for a little while and let him grow into his big body... it's hard being a teenager... Well our little Benjamin is growing up quickly and will reappear in the show ring in Feb 07. He will be quite a sight as he has matured so much that he now makes his Gramma look little :-)... his silly antics and handsome charm are a show stopper. Well little Benamin returns with a big smile and 3 more points for a BOW win on Friday Feb 2 and then takes RWD on Sat and Sunday....
