We appreciate your interest in this litter, however all puppies are spoken for and have now gone to their new homes.

The following is a pictoral essay or timeline of the first 9 weeks of our "Triumphant Litter"

Newborn pups April 2002

2 down 5 to go... mother Kate is taking a breather and looking over Newton and Higgins

Mom's leg is warm and so is my brother... 1 day old.

So this is why they grow so much!

Bindi @ 4 days sleeping like a baby.... puppy.

Here they are at 1 week. They may look the same but now the puppy box is MUCH bigger!

A week has now passed and the puppies are growing so fast. From 12.2oz (Bindi and Newton) to 14.6oz (Higgins) at birth they are about twice as big. They now range from 1lb6.8oz (Newton) to 1lb13.2oz (Owen).

3 brothers having a snooze @ 10 days

Higgins @ 11 days having a rest, common pose at this age.

See how we have grown! Kate feeding and cleaning the "Group of Seven" at 2 weeks of age.

The "Group of Seven" is now 2 weeks old. Little eyes are starting to peer up at mom and soon little ears will open and together they will take in the sights and sounds of the Poole household. The little gaffers have outgrown their second puppy box (1/2 of a 100 size varikennel). For those who are wondering what the puppy box is used for, it is a little holding box I use to keep them together while I clean up the big whelping box that they eat, sleep and crawl around in all day. Little voices, once heard as a squeak are now a rather humourous attempt at a bark. Little feet once pushing and pulling towards mom are now pulling pups up into a semi sit and a wobbling walk towards the primary source of nutrition. Kate is a great mom and has recovered beautifully. Bentley is a very proud Dad and sneaks a peek at his babes whenever he gets a chance. The groups now weighs between 2lbs7.6oz (Bindi), to 3lbs0.6oz (Owen). The rest are very close in weight around 2lbs10oz.

Bentley keeping watch over his "Group of Seven"

It has been 3 weeks now and time for a weekly update on the gang. They are now a very lively bunch, walking and squawking like a bunch of seagulls at times. They interact with each other and with us their human handlers. My nose has been investigated by more than one little mouth as they climb up for a better look. Very gentle little tongues, just like their father Bentley. Their weekly weigh-in shows a range from Bindi at 3lbs7.2oz to Owen at 4lbs2.4oz.

2nd feeding with solid food, before it gets messy!

Bindi (top) and Newton sharing a nap @3.5 weeks

Oliver playing with Mom after lunch @ 26 days

My goodness these weeks are flying by. The pups are now 4 weeks old and a few old sayings like "feeding time at the zoo" and "mud wrestling" take on a whole new meaning with the introduction of solid food. Little teeth are starting to emerg and Kate often has something to say about it when it is her turn to feed the ravenous brood. They are a very active bunch and love playtime with each other and with us as well. They have now outgrown the scale as Owen overrides the 5lb maximum at 5lbs 1oz. This week Bindi comes in at 4lbs4.8 oz. It is now after 1 am and the Duracell (black'n'tan) batteries have finally wound down in the little gaffers. Kate provided warm milk before bedtime so they should have a solid sleep, I hope!

Clive testing his dribbling skills @ 4.5 wks

When can we go outside with Mom? (5weeks)
(Hmmm, time to wash noseprints and muddy scratches off the windows) Note the orange bell which Bentley and Kate jingle when they want to go outside!

Higgins taking a brief rest break @ 5 weeks.

5 weeks have passed since the arrival of the "Group of Seven". Teeth are long and sharp enough now that our daughters Alanna and Sierra may get their ears pierced a little ahead of schedule and not necessarily in exactly the right spot! Playtime is fun for all and they are interested in everything we offer and many things we don't offer as well. They are eating well and gradually Kate is weaning them. Hopefully our unseasonably cool weather will warm up soon and they can try out the agility course on our back deck.

Do we or don't we want to take that big step outside @ 5.2 weeks?

My shining stars sharing a meal @5.5 weeks.

They love their new tunnel...getting ready for agility @ 5.5weeks. A special thank you to the Scorey family for the tunnel and stand!

Kate teaching Newton how to prewash dinner dishes.

The lovable Miss Bindi @ 6 weeks.

As I write Higgins is snuggling in my lap...almost purring with contentment. With the gang doing so much I had to put 5 photos in this week instead of the usual 3...sorry :-) The pups are now 6 weeks old and full of energy. They love to run and play on their slide, the tunnel and anywhere else they choose to go. Kate has weaned them pretty much but they still manage a snack on occasion. They love the outdoors and we got a real charge out of watching them sniff the 'aire' for the first time before stepping out onto the deck.

Fraser peeking through the fence @ 6.5 weeks.

The "Group of Seven" @ 6.5 weeks

I have been busy choosing registered names for the litter. Our theme is Triumph Motorcycles as they are celebrating the centennial this year and my husband and I own two. I was thrilled to discover that the Triumph made a "Terrier" from 1952-1956. Although I cannot use that name I think it is great that they recognized the fine English dog we all love.

A lineup for the kennel @ 7 weeks. They LOVE it!

Clive getting a lookover from the vet @ 7.7 weeks.

A family photo of our "Triumphant Litter" taken May 30, 2002

Oliver taking a rest on a lovely warm day @ 8 weeks.

A very alert Owen @ 8weeks.

Mother Kate supervising Bindi taking a plunge @ 8weeks.

We are closing in on week 8 and the gaffers are busier than ever. I must be too because I haven't got as many photos. Perhaps because their most active time is midnight to 8am! Just kidding but there are a few night owls. I just wish they had a soft hoot like an owl rather than the screech of a seagull. Here are some photos with some new h'aire' cuts.

Higgins and Owen sitting nicely for treats while father Bentley supervises @ 8.5weeks.

Mother Kate and daughter Bindi (9 weeks) waiting patiently.
