I've forgotten all the other flower lore I ever learned, but I remember that yellow roses are for jealousy.
I've always wondered why one would send flowers to communicate jealousy. One pictures a woman with many admirers, or perhaps only a triangle, who gets bouquets of yellow roses each morning. One day she gets only one bouquet of red roses, and she wonders whose blood has stained them.
Would one send green roses for envy? But these are just a heraldic artifact. Pay them no mind. They're not really there. You must be imagining it.
