We would like to congratulate Carol Juhasz and LA,IW, SGCA AnTarCin Dakotah of Carolscats. ! Dakotah was the 7th Best Alter Internationally and The Best Maine Coon Alter Internationally 2001-2002.  He previously had Regional wins as a kitten and an alter and with the International win it qualifies him for the Lifetime Achievement Award.

We are pleased to welcome you to our site.  We are located in the Drumheller Valley, 140 km. northeast of Calgary, Alberta.  Our cattery is a family hobby that involves the three of us two legged types and many of the feline variety.  Our cattery name is a result of a combination of our names;

our son ANdrew, husband TARas (better known as Terry) and wife CINdy.

In addition to our gentle giants,we decided somehow that we didn't have enough confusion in our lives and added a dog to our lives, Animatrax Scooby - a black and white Jack Russell Terrier. We though he would feel outnumbered so we added another little Jack Russell, named Daphne, who weighs all of 9 pounds full grown.  We fell in love with the Leonberger breed so we added a female Leonberger to the whole mix that we call Aimee which is short for Lionslair Amazonia. So in addition to attending cat shows we are also going to dog shows as well!

We usually show in TICA The International Cat Association, but our cattery and some of our cats are also registered in CFA and ACFA.

Our cats are raised under foot in a loving home environment.  The males live in a cattery attached to the house that has skylighting for natural lighting, covered chain link runs,windows for cross ventilation and their own furnace for those cold Alberta nights that we can set to accommodate their comfort level. The females are all in the home, giving birth in our bedroom and when the kittens are old enough they get moved into the kitten room for more exposure to the rest of the feline family before they get the run of the house once they have their litter manners.

We x-ray our cats for hip dysplasia and anyone who does not pass certification is spayed or neutered.  We have also started checking our breeding cats hearts for HCM, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.  We strongly believe that only through this selective process can we help to preserve this strong and affectionate breed of cat, allowing them to lead full and active lives.  We guarantee the health and temperament of  our cats.  We have shipped to various parts of North America, Japan and  Europe.
