High School students in grade 12 who live in Belmead can
apply for a $500.00 scholarship. For
eligibility requirements, please click here.
We offer our sincere congratulations to S. Wastle and J.
Kulakowski. They were both awarded a $500 Scholarship to provide
financial assistance for post-secondary education. Our best
wishes go to the winners in their present and future studies.
Belmead Community League sponsors one $500 Scholarship and
Dr. Noor-Allah Manji from Today's Dental in LaPerle sponsors
the other $500 Scholarship. These Scholarships are a small
way that our League and Dr. Manji promote post-secondary education
to our youth.
The following criteria will apply for applicants:
- Students must have parents living in the Belmead Community
and be a member in good standing for at least one year of
the Belmead Community League.
- Application for the scholarship shall be made to Belmead
Community League by June 30. Screening and selection to
be completed by September 30.
- Successful applicant will be selected by the League Executive
based on the following:
a. Academic achievement.
b. Community involvement.
c. Good character.
d. School activity involvement.
- The winning student must provide confirmation of acceptance
at a post secondary institution of learning.
- The scholarship will be presented by Dr. Noor-Allah Manji
or a Representative of Belmead Community League at the school
awards night in the Fall, usually in October.
- Applicants may have attended Grade 12 in the school of
their choice as long as they satisfy point number 1.
