This page is to provide some help for common problems with the Roadkill Software Web Sites, and Scripting Additions. If you have a problem with any specific software or anything that isn't on this site, then please email it to roadkillsoftware@hotmail.com.
Downloading
When you try to download these programs does your browser takes you to a
page full of numbers and letters in seemingly no perticular order? If so
then hold down the "option" key and then click on the link.
This
action will save the file to your Hard Drive. Now all you need to do is
drop the file on Stuffit for it to be expanded. Sorry for the
inconvenience.
If you don't have Stuffit Expander
then get it at ftp://ftp.aladdinsys.com/pub/
Software
If most of the software doesn't work at all, or gives you an error message, then the first thing you should do is to check out the Scripting Additions Page. The likely problem is that you don't have a needed Scripting Addition. If this isn't the case them email the problem to me.
Scripting Additions
Installing/Uninstalling
To install a Scripting Addition, you simply need to put the Scripting Addition in the Scripting Additions Folder. The Scripting Additions Folder is located in the the Extensitons folder of the System Folder, of the Hard Disk.
To unistall a Scripting Additions, simply move the particular Addition out of the Scripting Additions Folder. It doesn't matter where the Additions is, as long as it isn't in the Scripting Addtions Folder. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
