Enda Kenny

Enda Kenny is a Dublin  born songwriter who has lived in Melbourne, Australia since 1987.  He is a yarn spinner and story teller.  Enda’s songs describe stories of life, of humour and  of nature. Enda’s gift as a performer is his ability to bring alive the individual experience in a way his audience intuitively relates to.  Enda Kenny is acclaimed as one of Australia’s best songwriters, He has produced four albums – Twelve Songs, Bakers Dozen, Six of One and Cloud Lining (2001). All of his albums feature the fiddle playing of collaborator Lindsay Martin.  And Enda's live performances regularly feature Lindsay and Sandy Brady on bass.  They joined Enda for the recording of Cloud Lining.  Enda Kenny's songs have been recorded by many artists including Roy Bailey, Karen Lynne, Reel Time, Bram Taylor, Barrie Davis, Bob Eden and Markerr.  Enda is a fine performer and knows how to pace a set. Songs about Australia's wide open spaces, and traversing them are songs about the pitfalls and pleasures, to be faced by a musician on the road. Enda is also a protest singer, though in his case he protests about people who try to serve him "Earl Grey". This is a rarity, a humorous song that doesn't make you wince by the third play through the album.
