Hi Bro Ken,

I have an update on my friends' son in-laws mom, Edie. I asked you a few months ago to keep her in your prayers as they had just found out she had Cancer all over her vital organs; Update: The cancer is no longer in her brain, liver & I believe her lymph nodes; not sure about those, but her cancer is "going away" & is not threatening her like it was before!

Thank you for all your prayers & keep them coming! I thank God everyday for his intervention & all your prayers!

Neva

Response:

Isn't the Lord wonderful, his word is yes and amen, in other words it never falters or
fails. All he asks is that we trust him no matter what the insurmountable the odds.
Just KEEP thanking the Lord for His intervention in Edie's life.

Subject: ANOTHER PRAISE REPORT

In October we had a prayer request come in for Sherry, a 54 year old women who just had a total hysterectomy and they found and removed a tumour that they found was a fast type of cancer. Her mother Lou Henne is a Christian and believes in the power of prayer. God is able and will heal her as we unite in prayer and ask him.

1John 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

We talked to Sherry's mom tonight and after she was put on the prayer list, they did some further tests to determine the correct dosage of medicine and they discovered that the fast acting cancer was no longer there. They put her on chemo anyway and Sherry is feeling great, She acknowledges that it is through prayer that God has intervened.

Praise God

Hi Ken,

This Sunday Special just blew me away. Wow!  Talk about powerful!!  AMAZING!!

Shirley has been having problems with her well, it's 40 years old and
they had never done anything to it. She phoned a co. to come out and
look, and they said it needed to be shocked, they would have to pull
the submersible pump and then pour some bleach down, at $170.00 per hour.

Her boys said no way your paying that much, so they started at 9:30 am
on Sat. I phoned her at 9:30 pm and they were having nothing but
trouble. It would only pump for a few minutes then quit, they figured she
had to drill a new well. Around $15,000.00. I said lets pray about it,
so as we were praying I really sensed the Lord saying that it would be OK.

We then said our good-bye's and I totally forgot about it.
So when my niece & Core came today, I was surprised when he said they
couldn't get it working last night. When I phoned Shirley back, she said it
wasn't working this morning, so she phoned her daughter (that lives on
the same yard) and was saying she didn't know what they were going to
do. Brenda (they use the same well) said well I washed dishes and had a
bath and we had no problem. So Shirley went to the taps and it was
working good and it didn't take very long for the pressure to
build up again.

Who said we don't serve a wonderful God !!!
This is Shirley's own words

One year ago today I was in a hospital making a decision to live.  One year ago today I was shown by my Heavenly Father that true Peace and unsurpassed Joy was mine if I simply accepted His love and allowed Him to lead my life.  I am so happy to tell you that God does not fail!  Each morning for the past year I have awakened and asked the Lord to guide my day and allow His Love to shine through me.  Each night before I slept I thanked the Lord for the wonderful day He had given me, and as I counted my daily blessings, I drifted into peaceful rest.  My doctors still do not comprehend my complete recovery, however, they do not argue when I confess the “Power of Prayer”.  God is leading my life, and He does much better than I ever could while I was “in charge”.  Peace is no more a place I visit, my entire life is peaceful.  Joy is not a search any longer.  Joy is in abundance every moment of every day.  Psalm 23 was written by a King, I now understand what God told me one year ago today.  “I am a child brought forth of a King”.  The God that was praised in the time of King David is the same God I praise today.

God’s Love to You All!

Praise the Lord!! This is a report from Brenda, who we all prayed for in last week’s prayer request.

Bro Ken

God Bless All Of You who prayed for me.

Through your prayers & God who always answers prayers of healing to those who believe, great things took place in a very short time.

June 02/08, I had a dot on my left ring finger, it had dry patches and was very itchy.

By June 4th it grew pea size with blisters. I went to a walk in clinic and was told it was scabies and was treated with such.

But in 6 short days it went from pea size to 2 inches long and took up 3/4 of my finger and had attaches itself to my pinkie. At the hospital all the nurses and 2 doctors cringed at the sight -  it was thought to be flesh eating disease. It had taken away all my skin pushing it into a large ridge of puss with raw hamburger looking center that used to be my finger!

I had several calls saying I was in their prayers, the Burning Bush put me on the prayer list and my Uncle Ken, rebuked it in the name of Jesus and asked that the disease be dried up at the root.

WELL - TODAY June 17/08 I went to the doctor and he couldn't believe it. He said that it has reversed itself, Praise Jesus.

The ridge dried up and the skin is starting back-In 6 days!! He said I might always have a scar-But to me it will only be a reminder that through the Power & Grace of God-ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Subject: A Real Miracle

* Note:  You may remember... Lori was on the Burning Bush Prayer List a few months ago.

I AM A CHILD BROUGHT FORTH OF A KING

Recently, I was sent on a heavenly journey
by Lori Baron

I had gotten quite comfortable living an incomplete life playing at being a Christian. I had friends, a good job and a nice place to live. mediocre living was enough, -- but I was sickly in body, and more sickly in Spirit. This is when God said enough is enough.

I woke up in a hospital with a mask on my face, tubes and IV’s stuck in my arms, strangers running about shouting, and someone asking me if I wanted to live. I said yes.

Unfortunately, my body was racked with infections due to my liver quitting and my digestive system had all but shut down. Even worse, there was a void in my Soul. Yes, I’ve always prayed and included God in my life, so I thought!

Infections happen from the inside out and so does spiritual healing.

example: If you think about food and look forward to a good nights rest, but never eat or sleep. What happens, so it is without a healthy Soul the body becomes an empty shell. Thinking about righteousness and righteous thoughts does not create a relationship with Jesus. You can believe in him, but till you actually know him your life will not change.

The next five days are blurred but I vividly recall raising my arms to God and begging Him to take me home. My journey was underway. My “Guide” on this adventure was anonymous to me. I did not see his/her face, although I felt that we had known each other for some time.

We were in a park type area, complete with trees, a lake, a running stream, grass, a children's play area and picnic tables all about. We met with peopleI recognized but never previously met. There were men and women of many colors and race, young children at play, (I could hear their laughter and squeals of joy). There were dogs there too, romping and chasing each other and sitting quietly with groups of people. There was an abundance of joyful conversations, warm hugs and handshakes and a peacefulness which I haven’t had for many many years. There was freshness in the air of the trees, the flowers and grass. Each sound I heard, of small waves meeting the shore, children at play, bird songs and laughter, was clear and crisp and filled my senses. My heart was smiling. This is what I knew would heal my neglected Soul.

The surroundings were familiar and comforting and life was abundant. God set me in a place I cherish. I am unable to recall specific topics of conversation; my experience was more of a fulfillment of the senses. Joy was radiant in every face, men, women, children and animals.

The leaves of the trees rippled in harmony with the soft caress of the breezes which tousled my hair. The fragrance of the air cleansed my lungs as I breathed in the entire scene before me. This was the Peace that could not be understood, the Peace I had been so missing in my life.

I did not stay long in this place, as the reality of my world continued to clutch at me. I knew I was in a hospital, I could answer every question that was required --- “Do you know where you are? Do you know your name? Do you know ---” Yes I knew. Too well I knew where I was, and now I also knew where I wanted to be. Back in the park! I prayed, oh how I prayed! “Lord! Take me there again!” I wasn’t really sure where “there” was, but I knew what “there” meant. Psalm 23 This is not simply a song of praise, it is a promise of restoration, a place of healing, an awareness of soul. That’s where I wanted to go back to.

As my soul was restored, my heart, mind and body followed suit. I stayed in hospital for five days before it was the time God said I could leave. The hospital assured me there was no hope for my life at home. I assured them there was more than hope, there was a promise, and at home I could allow God to work without the hindrance of unbelief.

I know I have been back to that “park” many times since, not ever quite as vividly as the first time but more fulfilling and enlightening each visit.

The peace and joy which feeds my life now cannot be contained in one heart. God has cupped His hands around my soul, and with every step I take, every breath in my body, every thought in my mind, I feel his powerful Love. This is not my gift alone! Gods Love is boundless! Endless! Yours to have always! All you have to do is receive it and pass it on to your neighbour, and open the floodgates of your soul to be washed over in God’s glory. The journey is far from being over, every day I get stronger physically, and moreover,

spiritually! I’m back at work watching Gods hand touch everything I do. My heart is so full of joy that I must break into song and dance at times so as not to bust from it. Everything in my life is God’s glory and to God I cannot Praise long enough to even scratch the surface of the gratitude and love I have for him.

A big thank you to each one who upheld me prayerfully and financially during my fight back into life, and back into God’s glory. I pray that each one of you will able to visit your own “park”, and that you may know this wonderful life in God’s Love.

Psalm 23 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Dear brother Ken,

Earlier we sent out a general letter in an effort to update everyone on what has been happening in our lives here in New Guinea. Now that we have another two ITF programs (as well as a SIL Ladies Retreat this past weekend) behind us, we would like to write a more personal note, thanking you especially for the encouragement and blessing you have been to us over the years. Your faithful prayers and financial support each month of $100 has always meant that you have been a vital part of our lives and of our ministry here with Interface.

We don't take it lightly that you consider us worthy of your support. It's our prayer that we will be wise stewards of the resources you invest in us. Thank you again.

With much love,

Dave & Sally

Dear Brother Ken:

Greetings in Jesus name!

Lorie and I want to thank you so very much for your faithful support to us and the ministry of HELP here in Africa. You have blessed us so much and we can never repay what it has meant to us. May God bless you for it.

When you started supporting in 2001 we had just lost the support of $150 from an organization of which the Directors retired and the new leaders stopped all the support, so we were praying and asking God to help us.

That same month your support for us started for the exact amount and you have not missed one month. You will receive a great reward in heaven one day and only eternity can reveal what you have done for Him. May you reap a great harvest in your lives and ministry. Please thank the Burning Bush Board of directors and everyone for us.

Blessings to you.

Subject: Thank you!

Hi!

"I thank my God every time I think of you" (Philippians 1:3)

I just wanted to take this time to say "thanks so much" for your financial gifts this year toward the ministry on the east end of Vancouver! Below is just what your Dec. support check went to help.

Your gifts have been used to provide the following for those in need: rain coats, gloves, socks, snacks to give out on the street (juice boxes, granola bars), occasional meals or coffees, financial donations to impoverished students to allow a meal out or aid to allow Christmas travel, supplies for the drop-in coffee house where relationships are developed with street people, 20 bus tickets to allow youth from single parent homes to travel to a youth function, skating admission and rentals for 14 youth, supplies for a youth 'sleep-over' (there wasn't much sleeping for anyone but the kids love it and it adds to the bonding of relationships), some supplies for the 24 hour prayer room, small Christmas presents for 12 youth, candy canes, etc, etc

In Matthew 25:40 Jesus said 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me'

Thank you for partnering together to reach out to Jesus' friends on the street; I know that you have blessed Him with your giving and you have definitely blessed me as well in allowing me to reach out to these on your behalf!

"Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:2)

With many thanks,

Catherine

My Dear Friend Burning Bush Crusades:

Two hours outside of Mexico City, is My Father's House, a home for God's children. The complex is comprised of eight buildings, including boys and girls dormitories, a school and vocational training center, a chapel, a cafeteria with commercial equipment, an administrative building, a guesthouse, a recreational building, and an athletic field. We are beginning with 100 children and will expand as the Lord provides. Because of special partners like you that support us monthly and who love God's work, these precious children now have a beautiful home with loving house parents and a staff who will love them and train them in the ways of the Lord. You have made it possible for us to construct this facility. Simple things that you and I take for granted.

Thank you for joining with us by investing your time, prayers, and finances.
