From the minute I slipped the purple collar on the first born boy from my Heart and Soul litter I knew he was special.  Always the clown, but always willing to have a snuggle as well.  He was our pick puppy from that litter and finished his championship in 4 shows going BOW and BPISS at the RCC Regional specialty held in Edmonton in April of 2006.  Like his mom, Kenya, Arson quickly matured physically and developed a deep wide chest and strong head piece, he has lots of bone, but more than anything has his mom’s zest for life and love of fun.

Unfortunately, Arson’s first home did not work out anything as planned and I legally took him back in March of 2005.  After some retraining and tons of fun over the next 6 months Arson has developed into exactly what I had hoped for.  He is stunningly beautiful, has incredible drive and learning capacity, but has more fun with anything he does than any dog I have ever met before.

In August of 2006 at 16 months old, I took a chance and flew him, Caemon, Kenya along with a couple of friends (Heather Peters of Onyxgold Rottweilers and Simone Posche-Mottle- owner of EternalFire’s Classone Starburst CGC) to the RCC National Specialty in Toronto, Ont.  I am sure glad I did!!  Arson won Best in Sweeps along with the First Select Award!!  Kenya, was selected for the 2nd award, but then the judge realized there was only one award to give out.  Poor Kenya!!  Beaten by her own son!

Arson and Kenya also competed in and won the Brace competition, they were the only entrants, but they looked so beautiful that they would have been hard to beat! Caemon also went on to win the Stud dog competition.

Having a house full of dogs, made it very difficult for me to be able to train everyone to the level in all sports that they should be.  I felt that Arson was being wasted here.  Not that he wasn’t loved, but man, that dog needs to work, everyday!!  So, after many hours of contemplation, promises, tears and huge hopes, Arson went to his new home in Nanaimo, B.C.  He now lives with his half brother Gunnar (EternalFire’s Big Bang) and his new mom and dad Dana and Jon Wengel.  He is enjoying life to its fullest, swimming in the lake across the street, training in Schutzhund at the North Island Schutzhund Dog Club every week and getting ready for his BST next spring along with other working titles. On top of that, he is also competing in conformation once a month as well.  This boy is busy, but that is the only way he likes it.

Arson and his new family in Victoria over Christmas 2006 (Arson is on the far left)

It was incredibly hard to let this very promising young man go, but I know in my heart that I just did not have the time to do him justice.  With Dana, they are learning together, winning together and are getting ready to do huge things.  I feel as though I have given Dana her Caemon.  As I love my Caemon like nothing else on this earth.  This is my dream for them, to have that relationship…honestly…I think they already do!!

Good luck Arsy, make us all proud!!  Isabella misses you!!

Here he is at 13 months old!

At the 2006 West Coast Landesgruppe Sieger show in Langley, BC, Arson received a V2 rating. His critique is below!

17 month old, med to large size, very nice in type, friendly, attentive, very good proportions, very good head with very wide topskull, med sized ears, could be carried a little closer to the head, very nice dark eyes, almond shaped, left eye a little bigger than right one, excellent mouth pigments, excellent chest proportions, very good bone strength, very good forechest, very good neck, very good topline and underline, very good angulation front and rear, correct sized markings, nice in color, very good movement with very good reach in the front and good in the rear, scissors bite, full dentition, two testicles.

Arson finished his CD title in September of 2007 and earned his BH title in November!

Here are some fantastic action shots of Arson who is actively working now towards his Schutzhund 1 and his BST with his owner/handler, Dana.
