We have been blessed a second time with an outstanding Rottweiler! Kenya came into our lives and our hearts as a 14lb, 8week old bundle of TROUBLE.

Right from the start Kenya fit in to our family unit. She was already used to traveling as she made her way from her home Eternal Moon Kennels in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Montana and then from Montana to Calgary in about 8 days time.

She was a very independent little thing, taking off to explore the Montana forest every chance she could, and bringing back treasures of all kinds. Deer skulls and vertebrae, hooves, poop, whatever she found, and what a nose she has, we look forward to tracking with her, she is amazing. We are looking very forward to a great career in Search and Rescue.

Kenya’s show career started the day of her 6 month birthday. She did very well, taking two RWB and 2 first’s in her class. The very next weekend we traveled to Grande Praire, Alberta for 4 shows. There she took three BOS to Caemon for her first 6 points!!! She had to beat out 3 other Jr. puppies and 2 Sr. puppies for those wins. Her next show was here in Calgary where she took 2 more BOS placements to finish her Championship, at 7 months and 2 days old!! What a gal. She shows like a pro!

We then traveled to the lower mainland of British Columbia for the big Auld Lang Syne show in Cloverdale B.C. Under respected Judge Keke Kahn, Kenya was selected BP out of 2 Jr. males, 1 Sr. male, 2 Jr. females and one Sr. female. She was then asked to run off with the open bitch to take WB and then again for RWB, unfortunately we did not take either, but to be selected out was a thrill

2003 has been a thrilling year for us.  We started the year with a local show and Kenya again proved herself taking a BOS over 3 other female specials.  From there it only went uphill!!  Taking her very first BOB in Camrose, Alberta (with Lance Carmen at the helm)over 2 male specials and 3 females.  She repeated her performance the next day and even went 5th spot in group.  She was only 11 months old.  Red Deer was our next stop and her and Caemon battled it out with 13 other rotties that weekend.  Caemon won BOB two of the three days with Kenya BOS and Kenya took BOB one day with Caemon going BOS.  It was a very successful weekend.

In April we made our way down to Greely, Colorado the the ARC National Specialty.  Kenya not only made the cut, but won 5th place out of 35 9-12 month old bitches.  She then wowed us all by taking VVN1 and Most Beautiful Female Puppy in Show at the Sieger show on Sunday.

After the Nationals she continued to impress me by taking a BOB, Group 3, and Best in Sweeps in Lethbridge.

Kenya's most recent critique from the First Annual Calgary Sieger under judge Gerhard Apel June 4, 2005:

V3 Rating

Large, excellent build with matching bone strength, excellent head, correct ears, dark brown eyes, mouth pigmentations a little bit pink, excellent topline, deep and wide chest, whelping female, excellent coat, correct markings, hind quarters correct stand and correct angulation, good movement and scissors bite.

Kenya earned her TDX in September 2007 the same weekend her daughter Cairo earned her TD at the trials at Alberta Beach, Alberta!

At the BC Regional Specialty in October 2007, Kenya went Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty.  We couldn't be more proud of her!

In March 2008, Caemon and Kenya entered into the Novice Intermediate ring for the first time and both of them earned the first 2 legs towards their CDI titles!

In May 2008, Kenya earned 2 legs towards her CDX title with 2 high in class scores! She finished her CDX in July 2008 and we are SOOOOO proud of her!

In Red Deer in November 2008, Kenya finished her RN title and earned 2 legs of her RA to follow ..... whatta girl!
