Schutzhund

Caemon attained his ZtP title at the first annual Calgary Sieger show 2005 under ADRK judge Gerhard Apel.  Here are some pictures of Caemon at work for this title!

Marty Leggett was the helper at this trial!

Caemon and I, along with friend Jackie Can and her boy Chewba, attended a Schutzhund seminar in Victoria, BC, hosted by the Victoria Rottweiler Club in March of 2005.  Previous to this, Caemon and I had just dabbled in the sport of Schutzhund.

Caemon has proven to be a dog that can do anything with a little guidance, and he proved this to me once again on the field in Victoria that week.  As you can see in the pictures below, which we are lucky enough to be able to put here on our site with permission from Jane Michelmore, Caemon hads what it takes to be a solid schutzhund dog.  He has that ever-important on/off switch when it comes to the training.

Within the first few times on the field working with helper Joel Monroe (pictured right), we were pleased at Joel's assessment that Caemon could have his SCHI with a month's training with Joel's extensive schutzhund experience.

Okay, I am grinning at my boy's schutzhund drive.

The big reward, getting to hold that sleeve.  Caemon is showing here a full bite on the sleeve.

Caemon demostrating his 'off' switch.  We are done and Joel is a man with hands to pet him now, nothing more.

And this now is carrying on into our puppies - here is Arson working!
