All entries, whether by mail, phone or email, must be RECEIVED by the entry clerk no later than 10 PM on February 5, 2005. No entries will be accepted after this date and payment must be included with entry. Please make cheques or money orders payable to the White Hatters Cat Fanciers.
Entry Fees: No Entry Fees will be returned due to failure to bench. US entries paid in US funds may take a 15% discount on entry fees only. No post-dated cheques will be accepted and benching will be refused until all fees are paid. A $32.50 charge will be levied on all returned cheques. Payment for phone or email entries must be received within five days, and any overpayments will be considered a donation to the Rosette fund.

Show Hours: Saturday—check-in from 8:00 – 9:00 am. Judging will begin at 9:30 am. Sunday—check-in from 8:00 – 8:30 am. Judging will begin at 9:00 am. Advertised show hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm both days. No entry will be permitted to leave the show hall without written permission from the show manager.

Food and Litter: Cat Litter will be provided. Bring your own cat food, food dishes and litter pans. People food will be available at the show hall.

Please take special care to avoid damaging or soiling your hotel room. Please confine whole males to the bathroom and clip your cats’ claws, front and back (TICA Show Rules) to prevent damage to furnishings, and clean up scattered food and litter prior to checkout.
Official TICA Hotel Room Inspection procedures: The White Hatters Club will be using the TICA Hotel Room Inspection Procedures for exhibitors who stay at the show hotel under the club’s group booking. At the time of hotel check-in, each exhibitor will be required to sign a form agreeing to abide by these procedures as adopted by TICA, White Hatters, and the Show Hotel. Entry in this show, and lodging at the show hotel using the club’s group booking shall constitute full consent of the exhibitor to these procedures.
Cages: A single cage is 21” tall, 21” deep and 21” wide. The top, floor, sides and back of the cage must be covered. Per TICA rules, only one cat or two kittens per single cage, and two cats or four kittens per double cage. Each entry is entitled to a single cage (21” of benching space). To get a double cage for a single entry, or if you want to use a personal cage for a single entry, you must purchase an additional 1/2 cage. If your personal cage is wider than 45”, you must purchase a grooming space to accommodate the additional width.
Exhibition / Sale Cages: Entry fee: $10.00, plus cost of caging. These are double cages and available to exhibitors only. You must complete an entry form for each kitten or cat for sale or on exhibition. No cat or kitten will be allowed in the show hall if not listed in the catalogue. There will be absolutely no sales allowed from carriers. To be allowed in the show hall, kittens must have been born on or before November 19, 2003. Please be prepared to produce a copy of the TICA litter registration as proof of age.
Show Catalogues: One show catalogue is included free with your first entry. Additional show catalogues are $8.00 each. No catalogues will be available for sale in the show hall. The show committee accepts no responsibility for catalogue errors due to illegibility or mistakes on the entry form.
Household Pets: HHP Kittens (4 – 8 months old) do NOT need to be altered. HHP’s over 8 months of age must be altered (neutered or spayed). Phone the entry clerk if you are unsure of your cat’s colour or how to fill out the entry form.
Ring Clerks and Stewards: Clerks will receive lunch plus $25.00 for each full day of clerking. Clerks will be paid after their clerking assignment is completed. Please do not deduct clerking fees from your entry fees. Preference will be given to those in the clerking program. Stewards will receive lunch plus $15.00 for each full day of stewarding.
Show Rules: By entering the show, all exhibitors agree to abide by and uphold the show rules of TICA. Show rules and registration information are available from TICA, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551, (956) 428-8046.
Health: This is a non-vetted show. Every cat that enters the show hall must conform to normally accepted health requirements and be up to date on it’s vaccinations. Front and back claws must be clipped as per TICA show rules.. Cats from households with contagious or infectious illness within the last 21 days are ineligible for entry. Cats with suspected contagious or infectious illness or with parasites will be removed from the show hall.
Other Useful Information:
** Kittens must be 4 calendar months (not 16 weeks) of age in order to compete. Kittens must have been born on or before October 19, 2004.
** Cats co-owned by members of two different households are eligible for the “second and additional” discounts only if a copy of the cat’s TICA registration accompanies the cat’s entry. The registration must show the names of both co-owners.
** A cat does not have to be registered in TICA to compete in its first TICA show. However, it must be registered for second and subsequent shows in order to claim titles and to earn points towards TICA’s Annual Awards.
** If you are a new exhibitor, please inform the entry clerk so that we may ensure that you have any help you may need to enjoy your first show.
