Poppies are red roses are blue
peoples tears shatter on you
on remembrance day we honour the soldiers
that have fallen just like strong boulders
no longer to fear or fret lest we forget
they fought hard to their dying breath
we together as people , keep hoping for peace
yet war keeps on holding those who we love
and maybe to lose in Flanders field poppies grow
between crosses row by row
may they rest in peace in a restful place.
