Use Message Board
Hi, Welcome to Lesson Four.
In this
lesson,
1 You
will review typing "a" ";" "f" and "j".
2 You
will learn to type "g" and "h".
4 Use
the Message Board to let your teacher know how you liked
this
lesson.
5 Practice
your keyboarding and writing skills by
using
the Message Board.

To get ready for this lesson, please resize your
screens
and open up your word processor:
(You may go directly to the Tying Section if you
already know
how to resize your screens and if you know how to open
up your word processor.)
Resizing screens
R 1 Double click the blue line at the very top of the screen
(the line that has
the words "keyboard_four").
R 2 After your double click, the screen should become smaller (or
shrink).
R 3 Point your cursor to the right edge of the screen until it
turns into
a double arrow.
R 4 Move the edge to the left (by dragging the cursor to the
left), so
the screen is
smaller.
R 5 Put your cursor to the very top blue line again and drag the
screen
to the extreme
right.
(When you drag
your cursor, the screen should move with your cursor).
R 9 Now you should be able to see your desk top (the initial
entry screen with all the icons).
This is how you open up your Word Processing
Program:
W 1 Click on your desk top and double click your word processor
icon.
W 2 Make sure your word processor is opened.
W 3 Shrink the word processor screen (by double clicking on the
blue line
at the very top of
your word processor screen).
W 4 Re-size the screen so that it is smaller (go to the right edge
of screen
until the arrow turns into a double arrow and
drag the edge to
the left of your
screen)
W 6 After you opened up your word processor, you should have
a blank screen for
typing.
Typing:
T 1. On your word processing screen, type the
following
aaa aaa ;;; ;;;
T 2. Move
your right hand pinky to the Enter button and
hit the "Enter" button once.
Now your cursor (the blinking line on
your computer)
should be on a different line.
T 3. Now type the following:
;;; ;;; aaa aaa ;;;
T 4. Move your right hand pinky to the Enter
button and
hit the "Enter" button once.
Now your cursor (the blinking line on
your computer)
should be on a different line.
T 5. Now type the following:
fff jjj fff jjj
T 6. When you are done, your work should look
like this:
aaa aaa ;;; ;;;
;;; ;;; aaa aaa ;;;
fff jjj fff jjj
T 7. Hit the "Return" button two
times.
T 8. Type the above work again one more time.
Your work should look like this now:
aaa aaa ;;; ;;;
;;; ;;; aaa aaa ;;;

aaa aaa ;;; ;;;
;;; ;;; aaa aaa ;;;
fff jjj fff jjj
T 9. Move your right hand pinky to the Enter button
and
hit the "Enter" button two
times.
T 10. Make sure all your fingers are on the home
row, that is,
your left pinky should be on
"A" and your right pinky on
" ; "
T 11. Extend your left finger on "G"
and type three "g" on the next row.
T 12. Your work should now look like this:

T 13 Use left thumb and hit on space bar once.
T 13. Extend right thumb and type "H"
three times.
T 14. Your work should look like this now:

T 15. Use right thumb to hit space bar once.
16. Now use what you have learned and type
the following:

T 17. Your work should look like this now:

T 18. Use right pinky and hit "Enter"
two times.
T 19. Now, type the following: (Type 1 space
between each group)

T 20. Now your work should look like this.
