1 You will begin to learn how to include the keys above the home row
in your keyboarding ("r" and "u".)
3 Use the Message Board to let your teacher know how you liked
this lesson.
4 Practice your keyboarding and writing skills by
using the Message Board.

To get ready for this lesson, please resize your
screens
and open up your word processor:
You
should be familiar with how to do this, as this skill was learned and reviewed
in Lessons 1 through 6.
If you have
forgotten, please go back to Lesson 6, and review the steps
T 1 Place your
fingers on the home row. Check your
posture.
Move only
one finger at a time. The other fingers
should stay on the home row.
T 2 Reach with your left pinky up to the
letter Q, and return to home row.
T 3 Reach with your right pinky up to the
letter P, and return to home row.
T 4 Reach with your left ring finger up to the
letter W, and return to home row.
T 5 Reach with your right ring finger up to
the letter O, and return to home row.
T 6 Reach with your left middle finger up to
the letter E, and return to the home row.
T 7 Reach with your right middle finger up to
the letter I, and return to the home row.
T 8 Reach up with your left index finger up to
the letter R, and return to the home row.
T 9 Reach up with your right index finger up
to the letter U, and return to the home row.
T
10 Reach up and to the
right, with your left index finger to the letter T,
and return to the home row.
T
11 Reach up and to the
left, with your right index finger to the letter Y,
and return to the home row.
T
12 Go through steps 1
through 11 one more time. Remember to
focus
on using only one finger for the movement,
and the others should stay on the home row.

13 On your word
processing screen, using your left index finger, type the following:

T 14 On your word
processing screen, using your right index finger, type the following:

ENTER)

the ENTER key twice, and type the work one more time.
