| Student Feedback: “I think that it was a great experience. I felt good that my work was on the computer. I think there are many reasons why its good like other people can read it so that we share ideas with them. I enjoyed getting compliments from others. I did not like when our work was wiped off of the message board. I was concerned that students might put rude comments down but most of the feedback was positive. I learned some new things about technology. I learned how to cut and paste, how to save but I still have troubles typing fast enough. I also learned about writing – computers can help you save time. I also learned about deadlines when I missed one of them. I felt disappointment that my work wouldn’t be shown on the computer. So next time I will pay closer attention to getting my work done on time.” -Nina “I enjoyed the experience of getting to communicate with other people around the world and also getting to show my ability to write. The best things that I like is getting a comment back and see how other people think about my writing. It also gives me an opportunity to get ideas from other people. I learned to listen to the teacher before doing or figuring it out by your self when we posted our response journals but we have to give it to the teacher so it will not be deleted. I also learned to find out your dead lines. I also learned to try new ways of things instead of sticking with stuff that just does not work.” -Sandy “What I liked about this program is it improved my typing. I liked this program because we put our writing on the message board so they could respond.” -Kyle “What I like about the writing project is that you get to have fun while doing school.” -Josh “I liked this program cause it always gave me insight on how to use computers and the web sites. It was really good and enjoyable. It made me sort of like school. It also gives you the chance to be on the web. You get to work with your friends and sort of have fun with them.” -Steven “I learned how to type faster, make a website, learned how to published things on the message board and write open and closing sentences. I learned how to delete, cut and paste stuff onto other documents.“ -Zach “I liked this project we could put things on the message board and in this project I thought I improved my typing. Another thing I liked was being able to type up our writing. The things I disliked was that there were too many deadlines. Another thing I didn’t like was that there were too many messages so they had to wipe it up. I think that we should continue this project because I thought that it was a good experience for me and it was fun while doing it. While doing this I learned many things to here are some of them. First I learned that you can post your writing of message boards for the world to see. I also learned that computers are way different then just writing a letter because it would take a second for my messages to go all around the world with a computer but it could take years for a letter to go around the world That is what I liked disliked and learned.” - Michelle |
