Grade 3/4's Sensational Opening Sentences |
| These sentences were written by Grade 3/4
students at High
Park Elementary School during the month of October. One afternoon Taylor A and I were exhausted from BMX biking off of jumps and courses. By D. After a very long school day doing lots of activities it was dinner time. By T. After an exciting afternoon at my best friend Nikole’s house I wanted to sleep I crawled into my warm and cozy bed and as I was falling asleep I heard a very spooky scary noise, I got the shivers. By H. After I came home from school I was so tired I walked all the way to California I ate my dinner and I got a drink of pop also I brushed my teeth I got my pyjamas on. By P. “Ha Ha” Cheyanne was pretending to snore she was so hilarious. We fell to the ground laughing then we got up and made up a dance, had a concert everybody came but my brother Cody (of course). By K. After a superb afternoon of milking a cow I wanted to go to sleep I was pooped I got a gallon of milk. By K. It was a chilly day for me so I went inside and I told my mom I got an aching jaw and I was out of breath. By A. “I can’t believe that we are home alone for an hour and a half” my best friend Neil said excitedly! By T. I am tired after school so I go home but I go to sleep. By M. After an exciting summer of quading I dragged my aching dirty body upstairs. I had a shower I brushed my teeth I finally went to bed I knew my body really needed it. As I finally closed my eyes I heard a mysterious sound I wondered what it was. By A. It was a dark and cold night. Me and my dad went hunting out in the scary woods. By T. One night at the old farm in my creepy home I was really really tried and I couldn’t go to sleep because it was too noisy. By C. Kelisha, Nikole, and I went camping with my mom and dad for the weekend. We had a fire and had some marshmallows for a midnight snack. When I went to bed I heard a noise. By C. After a long flight and a tour in the Laurasis (?) we saw a giraffe and a rhino. At the abandoned hotel we unpacked and tried to go to sleep but I heard a noise. By T. Hi my name is M. and I am trying to find my cat. I was snoozing on my bed covered with my cozy blanket when suddenly I heard my cat. By M. My cat ran out when I opened the door I ran after her but I couldn’t get her. By C. |
