What is an area representative?
They are volunteers responsible for organizing courses in the community. In cooperation with the Administrator, the representative makes facility arrangements, collects tuition fees, and distributes course evaluation forms. The benefits include being involved in life-long learning, attending courses at a reduced rate, participating in adult education workshops, meeting new people and more.
If you are interested or would like more information about this challenging and interesting position, contact the Council Administrator, Marg Richmond.
Another choice is to be a Course Host for a course you are interested in!
Is there a course you would like offered in your community? Be a course host! Individuals can offer to take registrations, set up the facility, etc. for specific courses they would like offered and get a reduction in the course fee. Contact the Adult Learning Office for more details.
