This two-stage bird was launched on an L to a K by Alan Upright [third from the right, dark sweaterand ballcap for those who don't know left from right:)] from Suffield Base, Canada at the Medicine Wheel Launch, May '99. The flight was perfect, liftoff, staging, recovery, all was beautiful to over 20,000 feet --- straight up. Range patrol didn't have to drive a kilometer either way for retrieval. Staged chute deployment is key on something going that high, it sure worked excellent.
