The Garneau family joined with the Cadotte family about 1824 with the marriage Sault Ste Marie, Michigan between Louis Garneau Metis (1789-1863) and (V)-Archange Cadotte Metis b-1798.  The Cadotte family contributed Huronne (Wendat) and Iroquois to the Garneau family.
