Genealogy of First Metis Nation suggests married (II)-Euphrasine Desjarlais born 1848 daughter (I)-Francois Desjarlais born 1800 Orkney, Scotland and (I)-Marie Otshonkan born 1810 Orkney, Scotland. Genealogy of First Metis Nation suggests Joseph is the son of William born 1796. This would appear to be a complete fabrication in conflict with script records and a French derived name of DesJarlais and Marie's Indian name.
