Odds 'n' Ends
In
1998 Dianne underwent laser surgery at the Gimbel Eye Centre in
Calgary. The type of surgery was LASIK. Although there is a higher risk factor, the
operation is relatively painless and you can see right away. I am normally terrified of
doctors and any kind of surgery (I had to be put under when I had my wisdom teeth pulled),
but I survived this, so I think most people can. Today I can drive without glasses and I
am very happy. I have been wearing glasses since I was in grade three, and contacts since
I was 15 (I'm in my 30s now) and it is such an incredible experience.
