March 17, 1943 Servicemen arriving from Canada usually landed on their ships in Bristol and then moved to 3 PRC for documentation etc before moving to their nominated units. 3 PRC (Personnel Reception Centre) was in Bournemouth, Dorset, on the south coast of England.
