Hispanic, Latina, Chicana Women in Science Elsa's personal statement: This page about women of Hispanic/Latina descent who have pursued a career in the science. The purpose of this page is to provide the Hispanic/Latino Community with information on these women. The stereotypic Hispanic women is either a saintly selfless mother, a hot sexy mommita or a macha who is ready to blow up aliens. Which is not to say that we are not any of those but maybe all plus even a bit more. I am looking to build this site as a personal interest of mine. I think this is an inmportant issue given that our Hispanic population is growing but our girls are some of the very last considered inside and outside our community. So.....Here it goes! Please email me for suggestions or additions
