F.C.S.S RESOURCES
The Information & Referral Centre is a non-profit organization under the direction
of a Volunteer Board. Our goal is to provide accurate, up-to-date information on community services,
businesses and programs and to make the appropriate referrals whenever necessary. Our mandate is to
link people in need with the resources available.
The Information and Referral Centre also provides the following services:
- Resource Library - books, videos and cassettes
- Assisting Seniors with Government forms - Alberta Seniors Benefit and
Special
Needs Assistance Grant, Old Age Security, Canada Pension Plan
- Volunteer Income Tax Preparation
- Community Events Calendar
The Stettler & District Volunteer Centre
We are committed to promoting volunteerism in our area. We recruit and refer volunteers for
community agencies and maintain a current list of volunteer opportunities.

Guardianship Community Involvement Program
This program provides direction, support, advocacy and follow up to people interested in pursuing
private Guardianship for a dependent adult. It is a do-it-yourself alternative to becoming a guardian through
the use of a self help kit. Commissioner for Oaths services are also available.

Our lending library contains books, videos, DVD's and pamphlets on a wide array of topics which include:
- Addictions
- Abuse
- Bereavement
- Financial
- Parenting and Teen Issues
- Legal Matters (divorce, wills, etc.)
- Medical Issues
- Mental Health
- Volunteering
- Self-Help
Books and videos can be signed out for a one week period and are available for you
to browse at your leisure.
