Stettler & District Handibus

• Provides transportation for Handicapped persons of all ages and Seniors 60 years and over.
• This service is available to residents in the Town & County of Stettler.
• Regular service is from Tuesday to Friday.
• Available also on Monday, Saturday, Sunday, Evenings & Holidays for wheelchair passengers only.

We also offer our service to any County resident who is interested in coming into Stettler for shopping, appointments, etc. This service is offered on a Monday (if the bus is available).

COST:  $2.50 each way within town
All other days & out of town rates vary

Tickets are $25.00 for 11 one way trips

H.E.L.P. (Health Emergency Line Program)

The Health Emergency Line Program is a non-profit organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

This is a 24-hour service. If an Emergency arises, with our two-way voice communication equipment, you can reach us anytime of the day or night by simply pressing a cordless HELP button.

COST:  Installation charge $70.00.
Rental of Machine:  $20.00 per month

Home Support

The Home Support program is a non-profit organization under the direction of a Volunteer Board of Management.

GOALS:

• To enable seniors or handicapped persons to remain in their home as long as possible.
• To assist families in crisis

PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

Certified Home Support Aides who can:

• assist with laundry, meal preparation and routine housekeeping, such as vacuuming, washing floors and dusting
• assist with personal care (bathing, pedicures)
• assist with errands, banking, shopping, etc.
• provide emergency child care
• provide support for care givers
• laundry services at the Senior's Lodges

Cost for these services are based on income.

Meals on Wheels:

• Provide hot nutritious meals prepared by a local Seniors Lodge. The meals are delivered by volunteers at noon, Monday through Friday, to seniors, handicapped and convalescents.
• COST: $4.50 per meal

Friendly Visiting Services:

• A visit from a volunteer to help brighten your day.

Handyman Referrals:

A REFERRAL SERVICE FOR:

• Lawn mowing, yard maintenance, snow shoveling, window washing, minor repairs and medical drivers for appointments in town or the cities.
