ISS International Space Station viewing in Calgary area
Some suggested times are occassionally flagged on the above calendar. Times are only approximate, using data sometimes a few days old, estimated using PocketSatellitePlus on a Palm (more info below re ISS and sunset etc times on the Palm, below) These calendar flags are just as rough reminders: for more accurate and additional viewing times check your favourite online sites (I'll try to add a link here when I get more time. Suggested sites welcome, send quick note to Brian thru this form)

Some rough-estimated times (in Calgary area) - Jan 24, 2004 approx 1914hrs SW to 1918hrs transiting; January 26 1842 hrs WSW to 1848hrs E (I find the older the data, the more the ISS actually arrives a bit later (even maybe 10+ minutes later), but at least this gives a starting point for watching.

Daylight Savings starts (in Calgary*) Sunday April 4, 2004.
0200hrs becomes 0300hrs; sunset etc appears to be 1 hour later than it was on Saturday. * Some parts of the world may vary in how daylight savings is implemented.
An interesting website with diverse information about daylight savings including worldwide, historical and economic aspects is here

Sunset/twilight times, ISS times
These are approximate. Sunset and twilight times are derived from the handy Palm application Planetarium (very useful even if not as detailed as desktop applications). ISS times (only sometimes shown) may vary since data used ("2-line elements") in another Palm application PocketSatellitePlus may be a couple of weeks old (due to my schedule, not NORAD's) or naturally varying upper atmosphere conditions may affect normal ISS gradual descent rate thus changing appearance times somewhat.
