West Winds Fly Shop is pleased to be hosting Mr Mel Krieger from San Francisco, California for
two single day casting clinics July 6 and 7th at Bryants pond. Mel is recognized as the leading
flycasting instructor in the world. These clinics will benefit all levels of casters from
beginner to advanced. Students will have their own gear, and should bring a lunch and refreshments.
Mel says these clinics will benefit all casters from beginner to expert. Extensive hands on flycasting sessions will be interspersed with lectures and discussions on trout food, artificial flies, equipments, reading water, knots, leaders, fly presentation and more. We are only taking 16 students per clinic, sign up early to ensure a spot in the clinic. Contact Rob or Gard at West Winds (278-6331) to sign up. The July 6th clinic will challenge all levels of fly casters, but will be of interest to beginner/intermediate casters. The July 7th clinic will be of particular interest to the advanced to expert casters. Those taking the 1st clinic will be ready to advance to the 2nd clinic. All aspects of casting will be covered, (ie) mend casts, curve casts, proper double hauls for distance, accuracy, etc.
