Rack with fold down shelf

This rack has been newly redesigned.  Now it is as light as possible while still maintaining maximum strength. 
Three different wall thicknesses and two diameters of tubing are used. 

• Fold down shelf can be used for bikes, ski carriers and other accessories that can be bolted or strapped to the bars
• Can be fitted with 2 bike carriers (bike carriers not included).  Most bike carriers that fit on ordinary bar type roof racks can be used.
• You can also carry other types of cargo like gas cans, storage boxes, coolers, spare tire etc.
• All hardware and fasteners are stainless steel. Tubing is mandrel bent. Joints are notched and TIG welded, not MIG welded.
• The tubing is chemically cleaned (3 stages) and sandblasted or sanded prior to powder coating. 
• The four mounting feet are rubber padded to protect your paint.  No drilling or holes necessary. Rack is made in Canada.
• Special brackets clamp the rack to the edges of the door, this is much stronger and more secure than "universal" type racks
  that use straps.  This rack attaches to the very bottom edge of the rear door,  the door is much stronger there.
• Rack does not interfere with the rear wiper.  Rack attaches to the door only, so you can open and close the door with the rack attached. 
• An additional brace is available for heavy loads or use on rough roads.  Needs to be ordered at the same time as the rack.
