About the Polar Kings

The Polar Kings Athletic Hockey Club was formed in 1993 by a Board of Directors committed in providing 
rural Alberta hockey players the opportunity to play a higher level hockey.  Over the past  years the 
organization has proven to be a strong, vibrant hockey club committed and dedicated to the players and t
o the successfulness of the club.  The club provides two divisions that includes Bantam and Midget. Since 
1997 the Polar Kings Athletic Hockey Club have been based out of the Wainwright Alberta and continue to 
provide the opportunity for rural Alberta hockey players  to play at this level.  The Bantams play in the 
Central Alberta Bantam AAA Hockey League  while the Midgets play in the Rural Alberta Major Midget Hockey League.

Past Polar Kings Directors
Bob Miller
Bob was one of the founders of the Polar Kings Athletic Club.  He served on the board of directors from 1993 to 2000.
Sam Bensmiller
Sam joined the organization 1994 and served on the board for until 2000.  Sam continues to be involved with the Rural Alberta Major Midget Hockey League.
Peter Green
Peter served on the board of directors from 1993 to 1999 and too was one of the founders of the Polar Kings Athletic Club.
