The three principle staff members of GAMS are Ernie Perkins, Bill Gunter and Brian Hitchon. They collectively have more than 90 years of experience in all aspects of geochemistry, ranging from the collection and interpretation of field data, the interpretation of natural geochemical processes (diagenetic, metamorphic processes, ore deposition), the monitoring, interpretation, and prediction of industrial processes (enhanced oil recovery, tertiary oil recovery, coal bed methane recovery, scaling and water compatibility, formation damage in petroleum reservoirs), carbon capture and storage (CCS), acid gas storage and a wide range of issues in the environmental arena. They have developed and been responsible for the writing and use of a large number of geochemical computer programs, some of which are discussed herein.
