of Maskinongé, Quebec, in 1806, married
Jean-Baptiste Lagimodière, a voyageur for the the fur
trading companies, Hudson's Bay Company and North
West Company, of the Great North West known as
Rupert's Land. He decided to return to the west without
her, but she had other plans. Her life is filled with
adventure and excitement as she and her family wander
throughout the western plains.
