Pierre and Françoise Marin, the progenitors of the Marin family,
came to Port Royal, Acadia, New France in 1670 to start a new life for themselves and their descendants.

From Acadia, the family spreads across North America, from east to west and from north to south, in spite of war, conquest, invasion, and assimilation.

With courage, hope, foresight, vigor, and, above all, vision--the vision that it can overcome any adversity-- the family  struggles to create a new life for its children and its grandchildren.

Through it all, the family retains its culture, its language, and its religion as it expands and flourishes into the modern era.
