Local Agencies - Educational & Theraputic Services
The following agencies that provide educational and theraputic services to children and families in Calgary.
- Alberta Learning - This website provides information regarding programs and /or funding available through the Alberta Government (formerly Alberta Education).
- Calgary Board of Education - This website provides information regarding the public school system in Calgary.
- Calgary Catholic School District - This website provides information regarding the separate school system in Calgary.
- CRHA - Early Intervention Program - This website provides information regarding programs available through the CRHA's Early Intervention Program.
- Renfrew Educational Services - This website provides information regarding the programs and services available through Renfrew Educational Services.
- Providence Children's Centre - This website provides information regarding the programs and services available through Providence Children's Centre.
- Janus Academy - The Janus Academy Society is dedicated to the education and treatment of school aged children with Autism or a related developmental disorder. Established in Calgary in 1997 to operate as an independent private school to meet the unique educational requirements of school-aged children who have autism. - P.A.C.E. Rehabilitation Program - (no website found can be contacted via email) pacekids@hotmail.com.
- New Heights Early Learning Services - A web page devoted to the E.C.S. Program offered by New Heights Early Learning Services.
- MacKenzie & Associates Inc. - (no web site found, link is to a listing of private pactitioners in Alberta), to contact MacKenzie & Associates Inc. their contact information is available from the listing, or simply e-mail them at emacken@canuck.com.
- The PREP Program - A school and resource center for children with down syndrome (can be contacted via email) office@prepprog.org.

- Autism Calgary Association - This website provides information regarding services available through the Autism Calgary Association.
- Society for Treatment of Autism (Margret House) - This website provides information regarding services available through the Alberta based Society for Treatment of Autism, an affiliate of Autism Treatment Services of Canada.
- CRHA - Home Care - This website provides information regarding services available the Calgary Regional Health Authority's Home Care program.
- The Children's Link Society - A central source of information for families of children with special needs in the Calgary Rocky View Region. Check out their fantastic links page.
- Calgary SCOPE Society - The Calgary SCOPE Society
works in alliance with people with disabilities, their families and friends,and other community members to understand problems and create solutions to personal and social justice issues.
- Ups and Downs - An organization for the parents, families and friends of people who have Downs Syndrome (can be contacted via email) upsdowns@cadvision.com.
- Calgary Community Living Society - Supporting families who have children of all ages with developmental disabilites by providing information and education through regular meetings, a quarterly newsletter and a resource library.
- Parent Development Centre - The mission of the Parent Development Centre is: to support parents of children of all ages who may be experiencing uncertainty as a result of family life crisis, stress or depression. The Parent Development Centre offers: support for women experiencing post-partum depression; parent stress line; groups for parents which are supportive, informative and educational.
