An Ojibwa Shaman in a domed lodge.  The Shaman is using a sucking tube to withdraw the cause of the illness.  These tubes are also used to extract foreign objects.  These doctors of medicine were well versed in herbal remedies.  There were eight levels of apprentice before becoming a full Shaman of the medicine Society.
