This represents a trading place for the Wendat (Huron) and Algonkian people.
The Algonquian people are believed to have migrated from the Great Plains.
It is believed the migration to Eastern Canada began about 8,000 B.C.
They began their western migration about 1450 A.D.
The Wendat however are fairly recent in the region.
