1903 GAUTHIER FAMILY DEPARTING OREGON FOR EDMONTON, N.W.T.
04/14/2005
Photo taken 1903 Cove, Oregon preparing to depart for Edmonton, North West Territories
Photo is double exposed and of poor quality.
Michael Stanislaus Gauthier (1850-1934) is seated right front, just behind him
is wife Lea Oumelt Gauthier (1850-1919), girl with white spot on face is Marie Alexazina Gauthier (1888-1980),
little girl in front of her is Marie Antionette (Nette) Gauthier (1893 - 1954)
The
others are hard to identify but likely include:
Horace Gauthier (1880 - 1955), Artem Joseph Gauthier (1883 - 1958),
Odilon Gauthier (1875-?), Dennie Gauthier (1891-?) and other relatives.
Grandmother Alexazina said they traveled in Red River carts but cart in
background suggests manufactured wheels were in use about this time or this is
part of another picture.
