bltGoals

  • The primary goals of this program are to
    • encourage the continuing use of the Cree Language as the mother language of this school and community.
    • promote a strong Cree culture.
  • The Cree Language & Culture program has been offered to Senior High students for the past three years.
  • This program is delivered by a permanently certified educator and an accredited Cree Language Instructor, working as team-teachers.
  • The Whole Language model will be used much a possible to develop the Cree Syllabic reading and wriitng skills. Thematic units will be based upon the cultural component of the program.
  • This course syllabis will be updated as the local curriculum for this program is further developed.

    • the non-tradition syllabic characters (for proper nouns).
