On January 12, 1998, the AQUAlibrium web page was established. On November 4, 1999 a counter (www.thecounter.com) was added to the front page of the web site. All visitors to the front page were logged and some statistics about them was recorded. Visitors to the web site who did not come to the front page, and there were many, did not have their visit logged.
VISITORS SHOULD NOT BE CONCERNED. I CANNOT CONTACT YOU BASED ON INFORMATION OBTAINED. AT BEST I CAN DETERMINE WHAT COMPANY YOU ARE FROM, BUT THAT IS ABOUT ALL.
However the statistics gather present an interesting profile of the AQUAlibrium web site visitors. For example, in the one year we had a total of 1982 visitor (an average of 5.4 per day) of which 1525 (4.2 per day) were identified as "unique".
To begin, visitors come from many countries world wide, including:
- North America: United States of America, Canada, Mexico
- Europe: Germany, The Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Russia, Switzerland, Finland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Greece, Belgium, Austria, Croatia, Romania, Slovenia, Turkey
- Asia: China, Japan, Republic of Korea, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Taiwan, Brunei, Jordan, Thailand
- South America: Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Brazil
- Australia/Oceania: Australia, New Zealand
- Africa: South Africa, Egypt
Table 1 gives a breakdown of the number of visitors on a given day of the week.
Table 1 Number of Visitors by the Day of the Week Day Visitors Per Cent --------- -------- -------- Sunday 153 7.72 Monday 345 17.41 Tuesday 317 15.99 Wednesday 325 16.40 Thursday 325 16.40 Friday 380 20.69 Saturday 137 6.91From this it is clear that more visitors come during week days than on weekends. And by a small margin there are more visitors on Friday than the other days. Although it is probably fair to say that the distribution is fairly consistent and that there appears to be no preference in terms of the day of the week.
Since most people are visiting during business days, it is probably fair to conclude that their visit is business related.
Table 2 gives a breakdown of the number of visitors on a given month of the year.
