The Road Trip - July 2007

We start our journey with a twelve hour car ride... just to set the mood!	Old Faithful still erupts.... but it's getting lazy. Up to 90 minutes now.
The beauties of Yellowstone... and the scenery was nice too!	Aptly named "Red Canyon" really was this red!
Bryce Canyon exploded in colour and shapes.	The heat's still building on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Las Vegas, Nevada - the landmark of our hotel - the Stratosphere Tower. We stayed on the 23rd floor of the hotel.	The view from the tower... and the amusement "park" rides. No we didn't partake (we were waiting for Disneyland!)

Venice Beach - a cool windy day kept most people at home I guess!	DISNEYLAND!!!
The crowds grew by noon - good time to hit the pool at the motel!	M...I..C....K..E..Y...... M.O.U.S.E!!!
Another new friend in Disneyland.	We did find Nemo, and we zipped through the Matterhorn too... Jeff's favorite, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride!
Southern California Adventure is part of the Disneyland experience.	The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror got all our votes as a favorite!
The Electric Light Parade is still the best!	Universal Studios - only an hour and half away from Disneyland (45 km) by freeway.
This WAS truly frightening!	The peace and quiet of suburbia... on Wisteria Lane - no Desperate Housewives in sight.
The new Kodak Theatre in Hollywood - home of the Oscars.	Mann's Theatre mixes the "old stars" with the "new up and comers"
More "roots" and the original home of Lindsay Olives.	Coastline in Northern California
The majesty... and the inevitable tourist traps of the California Redwoods	We splurged for one night of ocean front motel on the Coast of Oregon
Exploring the beaches and tidal pools.	The Sea Lion Caves
Pike Street Market in Seattle	July 21....Our last morning on the way home through Enderby.... at 5 a.m!!!

Brian's 50th Birthday Bash

Lindsay's 16th Birthday BBQ

On August 25th, we celebrated Jeff's daughter LINDSAY'S 16th Birthday with a BBQ at our place.

We all met in Calgary to take in the ARGRA (Alberta Rockies Gay Rodeo Association) Rodeo.  Lot's of fun - the dance, dinner and rodeo were a blast!!!

On June 16th Larry celebrated his 40th birthday (it was Jeff's 41st birthday the same day, but we don't celebrate that anymore).

A big surprise party was held and we were all entertained with good food, good friends and Vanity Fair, whose rendition of Dolly Parton's "PMS Blues" brought the house down!

Again this year, a great time was had by all at Dwayne and Larry's 3rd Annual Oscar Party (check out Dwayne's website - http://telusplanet.net/public/dwaylar/index.htm).  We crowned a new Oscar Queen, ate tons of food, and laughed and cried at some of the fashions (what was Gwenyth thinking?).

First, last years Oscar Queen gave up his crown to our new champion Cameron who got the most right on the Oscar Ballot.  He was so proud!!!
