"The Artist as Mother Goose (ret)" © wood engraving (ed. 35) image: 8 x 6 in. $100.00 (go to "Hi There" for purchase information)

Mother Goose was on my mind for three years or more, as I worked on my book, Mother Goose Eggs: sunnyside up. I figure I'm entitled to play the role of the good Mother in a state of retired bliss. She's always been portrayed, looking somewhat like a witch or an old crone. Or a goose! Who's to say she wasn't another kind of "mother"?

There is a second edition of this print which is included in the deluxe bound version of Mother Goose Eggs: sunnyside up.
