Visits to the rain forests of Guatemala, Costa Rica and Brazil were the inspiration for a suite of wood engravings called Wee Beasties. The twenty prints in this suite are each about 2 x 3 inches, engraved on maple or fruit wood end-grain blocks. There are twenty different insects in the suite. The suite was completed in 1992 and is sold in a high quality solander (clamshell) box for $1000.00.

Individual prints are available for $50.00 each. Please inquire, since some individual prints are sold out. The sale of individual prints is from the end of each edition (working back-to-front, from 20, 19, 18, etc.).

Please go to "Hi There" for purchase information.

Images of three of the prints from the suite are shown to the left. I'm happy to send images of the whole suite to anyone interested in seeing the other 17.

The prints that followed the "Wee Beasties" were the "Spanish Flies". They were inspired by Lytta Vesicatoria which I discovered in the "bug books". I made no attempt at entomological accuracy. The images are results of my imagination.
