| This Acadian Canso Sport Deluxe (One of 552 made in l966) was purchased in 1990 as a Basket Case.
Over 10 years, the car was completely disassembled, all parts were sand
or glass blasted, and new quarters and trunk floor were installed. All
rusted areas were removed and new metal welded in place. Every piece was
disassembled and rebuilt or replaced. All trim was either hand buffed, rechromed or replaced (if available). Paint (Plum Mist Metallic, a stock '66 color) is Sikkens base coat clear, and was sprayed by Ronaks Auto Body who also straightened and fitted all panels. Seat Skins and Headliner were installed by KEN at Action Upholstery. Countless hours were spent in restifying this vehicle to the shape it is in today, and as usual it is still not quite done. |
