Katalac is a wonderfully balanced horse
with a great disposition. He has that definite "Look at Me" charisma.
Katalac is extremely gentle and even gets along with the geldings in our
herd. He has been used at cutting and has a natural ability there.
He is very athletic with the potential for reining as well. His foals
seem to carry on his quiet attitude as well as the cowiness. They
have been shown in everything from halter to English to Western, as well
as going on to become lesson horses or a child's first mount. His
sire line is Saklawi I (Egypt) and his dam line is *Urfah (AHR).
Katalac is a half brother to Mistakat, who won many ribbons in western
pleasure in 1998 in a variety of divisions. His sire, Makat, straight
Russian, was a multi-champion as well with an extreme trot. Katalac
has inherited this fantastic trot from his sire. He is also a Drifting
Mist grandson through his dam.
We are hoping to show Katalac this season in Western and english
divisions.
