I had a good friend. Timmy was his name.
He courted a lady who thought he was a pain.
She had hair as dark as coal.
Poor Timmy Littlemouse.
He was a tad bit small. Oh, what a shame!
He teased the girls, and most gave chase.
But he was quick and they couldn’t keep pace.
For he would win out, even in a race.
He pursued her even in the rain,
saying “Hey pretty girl, what is your name?”
She said, “Jane. Jane is my name.”
She was kinda plain, but he loved her all the same.
Making her his wife was Timmy’s goal.
However, this wasn’t to be, poor soul.
For he was a mouse and she was a mole.
He eventually gave up and went into his hole.
