Welcome to

Kootenai Brown Pioneer Village

In Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada

Blacksmith Shop

Originally built as a family home this building was converted into a blacksmith shop as soon as the family could afford to build a frame house.

Here you will find a collection of pioneering tools commonly built locally and used throughout the area. There are also numerous mining tools used by miners working the several mines of the area.

Berry House

Yet to be restored or opened to the public, the Berry House was the home of a local family who operated the first hardware store in Pincher Creek. The frame house is typical of those built during the farming boom experienced by the Pincher Creek District during the period 1898 -1914.
