Printing Houses
Print a letter in the first house and have your child
trace and then copy the letter in the rest of the houses. Drawing
a couple of dotted letters may also help. Then the child joins the
dots to print the letter. It is best to begin with the easiest letters
of the alphabet... L, H, T, I, F, E, O Next
letters... C, V, G, P, U, Q, X Next set... J, D,
M, N, W, Y, A Final and most difficult letters... B,
R, K, S, Z. Lowercase letters to begin with...
l, t, i, o, c, v, j
Then... e, b, h, p, d, f, n Next... a, r,
u, x, m, y, g Finally... w, k, q, s, z. This is just
a guide and is in no way the only order to teach your child printing.
Every child is different and will learn at his/her own pace. If you
find your child is having difficulty with a specific letter, move on to
another one and then come back to the difficult letter.
