Valentines Day

Here are a few fun activities to do at home.  Hope you enjoy them.

Mend the Broken Hearts

Draw 26 hearts.  Print an uppercase letter on one half and the matching lowercase letter on the other half.  Cut the hearts apart. Mix up and have your child Mend the Broken Hearts by matching upper and lowercase letters.

Heart Worms

Draw hearts, give each heart a numeral (1 through 10).  Have your child put the hearts in the correct order by attaching to the worms head to create the body.  Can also be done for the alphabet (26 hearts).  For older children you could use basic words to create a sentence worm.

Heart Critters \ Wreath of Hearts

Use heart shapes to create animals.  Examples I have included here are mouse, cat, bear and fish. Be creative and see how many others you can come up with.

Wreath: Cut hearts from red and pink construction paper.  Cut the center from a large paper plate and glue hearts to the edge to form a wreath.

Heart Person and Heart Head

Just print the pattern for person and head and have fun.  Make a whole family.  Glue to a background scene.  Anything your HEART desires is a great idea.
